Why is the obfuscated file much larger than the original small file?
When the original obfuscated file is small but the generated obfuscated file is large, you usually need to pay attention to the following points:
← Back to Question List
- When obfuscating files, encryption and decryption operations are required. Each obfuscation will obfuscate the decryption program. The more encryption options you choose, the more complex the decryption program will be, which will eventually lead to an increase in the size of the obfuscated file.
- For large source code programs, when the overall file size increases, the proportion of the decryption program is relatively reduced.
- If you have strict requirements on file size, you can appropriately reduce the obfuscation options to reduce the size of the output file.
- It is generally recommended to use the recommended obfuscation method. Usually, the larger the file, the higher the compression rate that can be achieved after obfuscation. Even after passing through compression tools such as UglyJS, the file size can be further reduced.
- If you have concerns about the security of the recommended obfuscation method, you can appropriately increase obfuscation options based on the recommended options.
